Got e-mail from prof... He said "although I have many comments, I think this is exellant work" waaaah bestnya. Alhamdulillah. I did just what he asked, start from general from specific. So I described world Poverty in general, gave the stats. Then I scope down a lil bit to Asia... And I just found out that countries like Japan and South Korea are welfare countries. However when I narrow it down to south east Asia, there's nothing about welfare country. Maybe singapore is going towards that... they have sortof heavy tax exemption if you r below certain income level.

When I was doing work all day, I didn't really make time for cooking. So lapar aaaa... makan chips ngan guacamolee ja. Allah maha kaya, while I was at the kitchen, ada mamat italian nie buat pizza. He needed to use the oven coz at his student house, the oven is not working. so he use ours. He baked pizza in large portion. So, offer aaa si lapar nie skali. Bessssttt and its veggietarian so bole laaa aku makan.

Goshhh gotta crack my head on a new topic. The main concern is the data.... Where the heck am I gonna get the data??? NPL on Islamic product by state per se??? Goshhh Henk is comin back from US n I gotta show some progress. To start a problem statements takes alot..... I should be finalising my proposal...heck I'm still writing this blog although there are no followers.... I asked for an offer letter from Prof Henk, he said not yet...Coz he needs approval from external comitty(dunno the spelling). However, he is so nice and want to send me a letter that he's workin on a proposal with me and that he's gonna be my mentor... well that's a relief. E-mailed a professor from UKM, not yet balas for co-advisor just like what henk asked.

What they did was grouping the models for credit risk from Crouchy et al 2000, Gordy 2000,, Saunders and Allen 2002 and duffy and singgleton 2003. By the way, I hav to find out what these guy's have been yakin about, just to have a rough idea about how bonfim2009 yakin about the 3 modellin criterias.

1) Models that use Acc variables
2)Models that use market info
3)Models that use macroeconomic variables.

Waaaah.... pire mesti terkejut Ziad dah stat blogging dah.... Well bro..here i am. Hmmmm what to write aaa. Dun have much idea. Well, i dunno what exactly made me start blogging but... tetiba time nak tunggu semayang Isyak ntah terrrrr register utk blogspot.
I dun hav much to write actually, waitta minute. Hmmm yeah! yeah! went to paddy's market just now, ughhh spent alot of money on souveniers sheeesh! a fortune!. Wait! wait! before that i went to my uni for souvenier shopping, huh I remembered buying just 2 caps, a pen, a necktie, some stickers n some other stuff. i was a whooping 108 dolla! The paddy, I bought souvenier tshirts for 40 dolla. To bad the main souvenier shop at the uni was closed altough i was quite pissed at the owner coz she's there but she's not opening the shop coz she wanna do some kinda auditing or something. She could just let me in coz i was gonna really buy.

huh! The story was kinda boring huh.....

Well, my target to go back to Malaysia is 2nd of January, so, I sort of... called my dean inform him abt me finished my Masters. Then, I called the officers from HR n they sed I had to get approval from the TNC HEA, that's alot of work. I'm just hoping that I can get back on time and the TNC HEA approve my trip back. IF not, I'm stuck here down unndah!

Research proposal

It's been like, days for me to read academic papers and it's gonna take weeks for me to ready with a proposal. Gosshh it's so damn hard. First i wanted to do something about ATPs anti takeover provission coz i'm quite well versed with that paper but.... It doesnt really apply to Malaysia coz hostile takeovers are very rare in Malaysia. The only time it happened was on 2005, I read it somewhere.

Huh! So ii've decided to do something about credit risk. perrghhh. At this moment of typin this blogg, I'm reading Bonfim2009 paper. Altough I have a "Masters" in finance, this paper seems gibberish to me. I was quite embarassed by my own self when i didn't even know what an idiosyrcratic risk was. Well that's why i have to READ

On Reading....

I'm estounded by the culture of the Orang putih... The culture of reading. Me, altough i'm in acedemia, reading is not exactly pleasure for me. u see, orang putih , one of the things that they'll ask you if they are "friendly" who's your favourite author?? Even among kids they'll talk about that. They can talk about books and criticise them.

Well once i've read it quite a few times, it is interesting to know that most credit risk build up during upturns, this is when at that time, the banks apply less stringent requirements. The risk materialises only when the economy is down Pederzoli(2005). Wow, i just found that out! It's like when you bela hantu at the time you are strong, you are like invincable but when you are at your deathbed, the hantu that you bela meterialises. Hehehe
